A Family-Run Antiques Business

Shackleton Fox Antiques is a husband-and-wife team with a shared passion for antiques, history, and period interiors.

SInce 2018, we have grown our business as an online, international antiques dealership, sourcing and supplying distinctive pieces to private collectors, designers, and commercial clients.

Our work is inspired by a long-standing appreciation of craftsmanship, heritage, and the enduring beauty of well-made objects.

Our Background

We bring together two complementary skill sets.

Jackie has a background in art, design, procurement, and supply chain management, including experience working within structured heritage environments. She leads on sourcing, presentation, and client relationships.

Jonathan is an accountant with over 25 years of experience, combining financial precision with a strong interest in restoration, antiques, and detail-led evaluation.

Together, we combine commercial understanding with creative judgement — allowing us to assess not just how a piece looks, but how it fits, functions, and holds value over time.

Our Approach

We work in a hands-on and highly personal way.

Every client is different, whether they are furnishing a country house, sourcing a single statement piece, or developing a long-term collection.

We take time to understand each project properly before sourcing begins, ensuring that what we find is appropriate in scale, style, and character.

Where possible, we also assist with restoration advice, condition assessment, and practical considerations such as installation and placement.

All lighting is carefully prepared, including rewiring and PAT testing to UK standards, so pieces are ready to use immediately.

What We Believe

We believe antiques should be lived with, not just collected.

Each piece carries history, craftsmanship, and character — and our role is to ensure those qualities are preserved, understood, and passed on.

We are particularly interested in objects that show evidence of use, age, and authenticity — pieces that bring depth and personality to interiors.

Sourcing & Services

If a specific piece is not currently available, we offer a bespoke sourcing service for private and commercial clients.

This includes:

Individual sourcing requests
Interior and project-based sourcing
Buying trips and advisory support
Access to off-market and trade-only pieces

We work regularly across the UK and Europe, sourcing from private collections, dealers, auctions, and long-standing trade contacts.

Sustainability & Longevity

We are committed to the restoration and continued use of antiques as a sustainable approach to interiors.

By preserving and rehoming existing objects, we extend their lifespan and reduce unnecessary production.

In recognition of this work, we were honoured in 2025 with the Sustainability Excellence Award.
