A classic and refined Queen Anne style dressing table stool, featuring elegant cabriole legs and hand-carved shell motifs to the knees. This piece has been professionally reimagined for the contemporary interior, newly recovered in a luxurious, soft-touch velvet with a dense, high-quality pile. The fabric features a sophisticated mottled overlay, adding depth and a subtle shimmer to the upholstery.
The stool’s timeless silhouette, paired with its incredibly durable and tactile new seat, makes it an ideal accompaniment to a vintage dressing table or as an occasional seat in a master suite or hallway.
Style: Queen Anne Revival
Materials: Solid Mahogany / Walnut frame; Luxury Velvet-style upholstery.
Fabric: Soft-touch mottled velvet (High Durability).
Frame: Hand-carved cabriole legs with pad feet.
The Queen Anne style is celebrated for its graceful curves and "human-scale" proportions, moving away from the heavy ornamentation of earlier periods toward a more refined, sculptural elegance. This revival piece captures that 18th-century spirit, particularly through the use of the S-curve (cabriole) leg and the shell carving, which was a hallmark of the period's cabinet making. By updating it with a high-performance, modern velvet, it bridges the gap between heritage design and 21st-century durability.
Excellent Restored Condition. The wooden frame has been cleaned and polished, showing a rich, warm patina with only minor, age-appropriate surface marks that do not detract from its appearance. The upholstery is entirely new, professionally fitted, and in pristine condition. The frame is structurally sound with no wobbles.
