Flow Blue is a style of transfer-printed pottery characterised by intentionally blurred cobalt blue decoration created during the firing process. Popular throughout the Victorian period, flow blue patterns were widely produced on earthenware and porcelain for both domestic use and export markets. Antique flow blue ceramics remain highly collectible for their distinctive appearance and rich colour.
