A Clock Face is the visible front of a clock displaying the time through numerals, chapter rings and hands. While often used interchangeably with Clock Dial, the term generally refers to the complete visible assembly, including the dial, numerals and decorative detailing. Antique clock faces vary enormously in style, from simple painted examples to elaborate engraved brass and enamelled designs, reflecting the craftsmanship of their period.
