Cloisonné Enamel is a decorative technique in which fine metal wires are arranged to create compartments (*cloisons*) that are filled with coloured enamel before being fired and polished. Used extensively in Chinese, Japanese and European decorative arts, cloisonné enamel adorns vases, bowls, jewellery, candlesticks and ornamental objects with intricate patterns and vibrant colours.
