Flambeau is a decorative torch or torch-shaped light fitting inspired by traditional handheld ceremonial torches. Frequently incorporated into French and Continental chandeliers, wall lights and candelabra, flambeaux feature elegantly formed flame-shaped candle holders and richly decorative metalwork. Antique examples are admired for their dramatic appearance and classical influence.
