Fusee Movement is a type of clock mechanism that uses a cone-shaped pulley, known as a fusee, and a chain or cord to equalise the power delivered from the mainspring as it unwinds. Widely used in high-quality clocks during the seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, fusee movements improved timekeeping accuracy and are regarded as hallmarks of superior horological craftsmanship.
