Gimbal Lamp is a lamp mounted within a pivoting frame that allows it to remain level while the base moves. Originally developed for use aboard ships to keep the flame upright in rough seas, gimbal lamps are now admired for their ingenious engineering, maritime heritage and distinctive decorative appeal.
