A Hanging Basket is a suspended planter designed to display flowers, trailing plants and foliage in gardens, courtyards and conservatories. Antique examples were often crafted from wrought iron or cast iron with decorative chains and ornate scrollwork, reflecting Victorian enthusiasm for ornamental gardening. They remain popular for adding height, colour and character to outdoor spaces.
