Willow Pattern

Willow Pattern is one of the most recognisable designs in British ceramics, characterised by a romanticised Chinese-inspired landscape typically featuring pagodas, trees, figures, a bridge, boats and birds.

Most familiar in blue and white, the pattern became enormously popular on British earthenware and porcelain from the late eighteenth century onwards and remained in continuous production in numerous variations.
