It has been fully rewired to modern UK standards using premium, twisted fabric-covered three-core flex, and is fitted with a solid brass switched B22 standard bayonet bulb holder . Condition
Presented in excellent antique condition. The black marble column and base retain a high-gloss polished sheen with only minimal, age-appropriate light surface wear and minor flea bites to the sharpest edges of the stone, consistent with a true 19th-century piece. The gilt metal mounts retain a rich, bright patina with authentic, subtle oxidation in the deep recesses, which highlights the magnificent casting details. Structural integrity is absolutely solid.
