An elegant Edwardian-style silver-plated antique table lamp, featuring a beautifully proportioned fluted column, decorative ribbon detailing and a classical foliate capital, rising from a substantial three-footed architectural base.
The lamp displays the refined decorative character associated with Edwardian interiors, combining classical influences with delicate ornamental detailing and a polished silver finish.
Its tall, tapering column is finely fluted along its length, with a distinctive crossed ribbon motif encircling the central section. Above, the column broadens into a flared capital decorated with deeply modelled leaves, creating an attractive transition to the lamp holder.
The lower section incorporates a turned baluster detail, leading to a circular, domed base supported by three projecting architectural feet. Each foot is embellished with raised foliate ornament, while further leaf decoration follows the circumference of the base.
The combination of vertical fluting, sculptural foliage and polished silver plating gives the lamp a particularly elegant appearance, suitable for both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Its slender proportions make it an attractive choice for a bedside table, console, writing desk or occasional table, where the reflective silver finish provides a subtle decorative accent.
The lamp has been carefully cleaned and polished, retaining an attractive silver-plated finish with minor surface marks, fine scratches and areas of age-related wear consistent with its history.
It has been fully rewired for UK use and electrically tested, with black fabric-covered flex, ready for use.
Photographed with a handmade pleated lampshade from the Shackleton Fox collection, available to purchase separately. The lampshade is not included in the advertised price.

Every item offered by Shackleton Fox is carefully inspected, prepared, and where necessary conserved within our workshop prior to sale.
As heritage craftsmen and antique specialists, we believe in preserving the authenticity and integrity of each piece. Original finishes, patina, wear, and signs of age are retained wherever possible, as these elements contribute to both character and historical significance.
When restoration, rewiring, repairs, or conservation work is required, it is undertaken sympathetically using traditional techniques and materials appropriate to the period of the piece. Our philosophy is one of careful stewardship rather than unnecessary restoration, ensuring antiques remain both functional and historically respectful.
The result is a collection of pieces that have been thoughtfully prepared, allowing future owners to enjoy them with confidence while preserving their unique story and character.
