Annular ware is a type of British earthenware distinguished by coloured bands or rings encircling the body of the vessel. Produced primarily during the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, it commonly includes mugs, bowls, jugs and teapots decorated with slip-trailed or engine-turned patterns. Its bold yet simple decoration makes it popular with collectors of country pottery.
