Bell Strike

Bell Strike refers to the mechanism within a clock that sounds a bell to mark the passing of the hours or, in some cases, the quarters. The striking system is driven by the clock\'s movement and typically uses a hammer to strike either an internal or external bell. Antique clocks with original bell strike mechanisms are highly valued for their mechanical ingenuity, pleasing sound and historical authenticity.
