Blown Glass is glass formed by gathering molten glass on the end of a blowpipe and inflating it into shape by controlled blowing. Dating back over two thousand years, this traditional technique has been used to produce bottles, vases, bowls, lampshades, chandeliers and decorative objects. Antique hand-blown glass often displays subtle irregularities, air bubbles and variations in thickness, all of which are valued as evidence of traditional craftsmanship.
