Carlton Ware is a distinctive English pottery produced in Stoke-on-Trent from the late nineteenth century onwards. The factory became internationally renowned during the Art Deco period for its vibrant glazes, hand-painted decoration and bold designs inspired by fruit, flowers, Oriental motifs and modern geometric patterns. Antique Carlton Ware remains highly collectable, particularly early hand-painted examples and Art Deco pieces in exceptional condition.
