Castellated Architecture is an architectural style inspired by medieval castles, characterised by battlements, towers, turrets, crenellations and fortified detailing. Popular during the Gothic Revival movement of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, castellated architecture was widely adopted for country houses, follies, gatehouses and public buildings. It remains synonymous with romanticism, grandeur and Britain\'s architectural heritage.
