A Clock Garniture is a decorative set comprising a central mantel clock accompanied by two matching ornaments, usually candlesticks, urns or vases. Particularly fashionable during the nineteenth century, garnitures were produced in marble, bronze, ormolu, porcelain and slate, creating balanced displays on mantelpieces and console tables. Complete original garnitures are especially desirable among collectors.
