Fireplace Surround is the decorative framework that encloses a fireplace opening, typically crafted from stone, marble, wood, cast iron or slate. Serving both structural and decorative purposes, antique fireplace surrounds reflect the architectural styles of their period, from Georgian elegance to Victorian Gothic and Arts & Crafts design, making them important focal points within historic interiors.
