Gauze

Gauze is a lightweight, open-weave fabric traditionally woven from cotton, linen or silk. Valued for its delicate texture and translucency, gauze has been used in clothing, curtains, embroidery and decorative textiles for centuries. Antique silk gauze was particularly popular during the Georgian and Victorian periods for fine needlework, dressmaking and ornamental furnishings.
