Guard Screen, also known as a Fire Guard, is a protective screen placed in front of an open fireplace to prevent sparks and embers from escaping into the room. Traditionally constructed from brass, wrought iron or steel with fine mesh panels and decorative detailing, antique guard screens combine essential safety with elegant fireside design.
