A Hood Mould, also known as a hood moulding or drip mould, is a projecting moulding positioned above a window, doorway or arch to deflect rainwater away from the opening. Common in Gothic and Gothic Revival architecture, hood moulds also serve as decorative architectural features, often enriched with carved terminals or ornamental detailing.
