Bilston Enamels

Bilston Enamels are finely decorated enamelled objects produced in Bilston, Staffordshire, during the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Crafted on copper and richly decorated with hand-painted floral designs, landscapes, portraits and sentimental inscriptions, Bilston enamels include patch boxes, bonbonnières, scent bottles, candlesticks and small domestic objects. Antique Bilston enamels remain highly prized for their delicate artistry and historical significance.
