A Bracket Shelf is a wall-mounted shelf supported by decorative brackets, commonly used for displaying clocks, sculptures, ceramics and other decorative objects. Antique bracket shelves were frequently crafted from oak, walnut or mahogany with carved supports reflecting Gothic Revival, Renaissance Revival or Arts & Crafts influences. They remain popular decorative features in both period and contemporary interiors.
