A Clerestory is an upper section of wall containing a row of windows positioned above eye level to admit natural light into the centre of a building. Commonly found in churches, cathedrals, halls and grand country houses, clerestory windows illuminate interiors while maintaining privacy and structural integrity. They have been an important feature of Romanesque and Gothic architecture for centuries.
