Copper Lustre is a type of decorative pottery finished with a metallic copper-coloured glaze that produces a warm iridescent sheen. Popular during the early nineteenth century, particularly in Staffordshire and Sunderland, copper lustre ware includes jugs, mugs, teapots and decorative vessels often embellished with relief moulding or transfer decoration. Antique copper lustre is highly collectable for its distinctive finish and historic charm.
