Estate Library refers to the private library within a country house or historic estate, designed to house collections of books, manuscripts and reference works. Traditionally furnished with floor-to-ceiling bookcases, library tables, comfortable seating and fine lighting, estate libraries were places of study, reading and intellectual pursuit. Antique furniture originating from estate libraries is highly sought after for its quality, provenance and timeless appeal.
