Gas Chandelier is a chandelier originally designed to be illuminated by gas rather than candles or electricity. Introduced during the nineteenth century, gas chandeliers often feature decorative pipework, multiple burners and ornate brass or bronze construction. Many surviving examples have been professionally converted for electric use while retaining their original character.
