A Horse Brass is a decorative brass ornament traditionally attached to the harness of working horses and carriage teams. Popular during the Victorian period, horse brasses were produced in a wide variety of symbolic, commemorative and decorative designs, often depicting animals, trades, good luck symbols or military insignia. Today they are widely collected as examples of rural life and Britain\'s equestrian heritage.
