Art Nouveau was an international artistic movement that flourished between approximately 1890 and 1910. Inspired by nature, it is characterised by flowing organic lines, stylised flowers, insects, female figures and whiplash curves. The style influenced architecture, furniture, lighting, jewellery, ceramics and glass throughout Europe.
