Back Stool

A Back Stool, also known as a Backstool, is an early form of chair featuring a simple upright back without arms. Popular from the seventeenth century onwards, backstools were commonly found in dining rooms, halls and country houses. They were often constructed from oak, walnut or fruitwood, with either solid wooden seats or upholstered panels. Their restrained design reflects the practical craftsmanship of the period while offering comfortable everyday seating.
