A Billiard Room is a dedicated recreation room designed for billiards, snooker or pool, becoming particularly fashionable in Victorian and Edwardian country houses. Traditionally decorated with rich timber panelling, leather seating, bookcases, standard lamps and green-shaded billiard lights, these rooms provided an informal setting for entertaining and relaxation. Antique furniture and lighting continue to define the timeless character of traditional billiard rooms.
