A Chamber Candlestick, also known as a Chamberstick, is a portable candlestick fitted with a broad circular tray and carrying handle, originally designed for safely carrying a candle between rooms. Many examples include an integrated candle snuffer holder and drip tray to improve safety. Chamber candlesticks were widely used throughout the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and remain charming reminders of life before electric lighting.
