Chinese Cloisonné is a decorative enamelling technique in which fine brass or copper wires are applied to create intricate patterns before coloured enamel is added and fired. Flourishing during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Chinese cloisonné was used to create vases, censers, bowls, candlesticks and decorative ornaments featuring dragons, lotus flowers and traditional symbols. Antique examples are admired for their vibrant colours and exceptional craftsmanship.
