A Circular Library Table is a substantial freestanding table traditionally placed within a library or study for reading, writing and displaying books. Unlike dining tables, library tables often incorporate drawers around the frieze for stationery and documents. Antique examples were commonly crafted in mahogany, walnut or oak with leather writing surfaces and beautifully turned pedestal bases.
