Diamond Point Engraving

Diamond Point Engraving is a decorative technique in which designs are scratched directly onto the surface of glass using a diamond-tipped tool. Popular from the seventeenth century onwards, the method produces delicate, precise line work often depicting inscriptions, coats of arms, floral decoration or commemorative scenes. Antique diamond point engraved glass is highly regarded for its subtle elegance and exceptional craftsmanship. *Related Terms*\ Cut Glass, Engraved Glass, Glass Engraving, Wheel Engraving, Wine Glass.
