A Horse Trough is a large stone, cast iron or concrete vessel originally used to provide drinking water for horses and livestock. Commonly found outside coaching inns, village greens and country estates during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, antique horse troughs are now popular as architectural garden features, planters and water features.
