Federal Style is an elegant architectural and decorative style that developed in the United States between the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Influenced by Neo-Classical design, Federal Style is characterised by refined proportions, symmetrical forms, delicate inlay and classical ornament inspired by Ancient Greece and Rome.
