Frosted Crystal is crystal glass finished with a soft, matte surface that diffuses light while retaining the brilliance and quality of lead crystal. Produced through acid etching or sandblasting, frosted crystal became particularly popular during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries for lighting, decorative bowls, vases and ornamental sculptures. Antique examples combine refined elegance with exceptional craftsmanship.
