A Hutch is a traditional piece of furniture consisting of a lower storage cupboard surmounted by an open shelf or enclosed display cabinet. Common in country kitchens and farmhouses, antique hutches were used for storing and displaying crockery, food and household items. Examples are typically crafted from oak, pine or fruitwood using traditional joinery techniques.
