A Bank of Drawers is a large storage cabinet comprising numerous drawers arranged in uniform rows. Originally used in workshops, libraries, pharmacies, museums and commercial premises, banks of drawers provided organised storage for documents, specimens, tools and small objects. Antique examples are commonly constructed from oak, pine or mahogany and are now highly sought after for both practical storage and decorative use in homes and offices.
