The Classical Orders are the five principal styles of columns and entablatures developed in Classical Greek and Roman architecture: Tuscan, Doric, Ionic, Corinthian and Composite. Each order is distinguished by its proportions, capital design and decorative detail, forming the foundation of Western architectural design for over two thousand years. The Classical Orders have influenced architecture, furniture, lighting and decorative arts from the Renaissance through to the present day.
