An Entrance Hall is the principal reception space immediately inside the main entrance of a house, designed to welcome visitors while providing an introduction to the style and status of the property. In Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian homes, entrance halls commonly featured grand staircases, chandeliers, hall lanterns, mirrors, console tables and decorative flooring.
