A Chest on Chest, also known as a Tallboy, consists of two separate chests of drawers stacked vertically to maximise storage while occupying minimal floor space. Popular during the Georgian period, chest-on-chest furniture often features moulded cornices, bracket feet and beautifully figured veneers. Fine examples represent some of the highest standards of eighteenth-century cabinetmaking.
