A Hip Roof is a roof design in which all sides slope downwards towards the walls, meeting at the roof\'s corners rather than forming vertical gable ends. Used extensively in Georgian and later architecture, hip roofs provide excellent structural stability and weather resistance while contributing to the balanced proportions associated with classical design.
