A Corinthian Capital is the richly ornamented upper section of a Corinthian column, distinguished by elaborate acanthus leaves, scrolls and floral decoration. Considered the most decorative of the Greek Classical Orders, the Corinthian capital became widely adopted throughout Roman, Renaissance and Neoclassical architecture. Its elegant form has also inspired antique lighting, furniture and decorative arts.
